Author Bio

Encouraged to draw and paint as a child, Russell Hoban eventually went on to write and illustrate children's books, many with his first wife, Lillian. However, he also enjoyed writing, and has written several novels for adults. "Riddley Walker" is the most acclaimed of these novels, winning the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Nebula Award, and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award, as well as the Australian Science Fiction Achievement Award.
